Connor- 15 months

Yesterday Connor turned 15 months. Crazy times! He has come so far with his speech since last month. Sometimes I think he talks more than I do! He can now say "eat", "yes", "what is it?", and "ok." He is such a smart boy. He loves books. When he plays in his room, he always goes for his books first. He will sit on the floor with a book and just flip the pages back and forth and point to the pictures. He still eats really well and eats most of what we give him. We always offer him some of what we are having, unless it contains seafood or nuts of any kind, and if he doesn't like it we just give him some veggies, fruit, yogurt, or a hot dog. He is not a picky eater at all! Other than some new words, some other new things from this month:

- He got to move up to the toddler room at church. He does really well in the nursery. He knows where we are when we walk in the door and he starts fussing and he cries when we leave, but every time we go to pick him up, we are always told that he was really good. It is a wonderful peace of mind to know we can go worship without worrying about him crying the entire time.
- He got his first taste of fast food. He had some chicken nuggets and some fries from Chick-fil-a and a bean burrito from Taco Bell.
-He is starting to eat with forks and spoons and is doing pretty well with it. We don't give it to him at every meal, but the few times we have, he manages to get some food in his mouth using his spork.
-He loves being outside!! We grilled out one night and took him out in the yard to run around and he cried when we took him inside! He keep going to the door and turning around and looking at us like "why can't I go out there?"
-He has almost all of his teeth in. They have come in so fast too. Ever since his first two came in at around 7 months, he has had two come in about every month and a half since then. At my last count he had 12 teeth and he is cutting more in now!

He is growing, growing and we are still loving every moment with him!!! Here are a few pictures of him eating his Chick-fil-a and Taco Bell.

Harris Teeter Super Doubles Trip

Harris Teeter was having their Super Double sale this week! I love it when they do this, because I can save so much with coupons! This has by far been the best I've ever done! I have already made four trips and I am going back again on Monday morning. I know this sounds like a lot, but they will only double up to 20 coupons per day and when you have multiples of some coupons, this adds up really quickly! I'll post again on Monday with the rest of my savings.

Here's what I got:

I know I have bought a lot of these lately, but they have been so cheap. On my first trip I got 6 boxes for $3 and received a $3 off coupon on my next purchase of HH, so when I went back today, I got 6 more for free. I know they aren't the healthiest meals but we use ground turkey or chicken in place of the beef, which you can hardly tell the difference, and we only use about half of the sauce packet. We just add some of our own spices and a little extra milk.

Harris Teeter and Target Trips

Harris Teeter had a really good deal on boneless, skinless chicken this week and since we eat a lot of chicken, I knew it would be worth it!

-1 bottle Wisk laundry detergent
-1 container Fage greek yogurt
-3 pks. boneless, skinless chicken breasts (total of 5 lbs.)

I know I have already been to Target this week, but I had a couple of good reasons to go back. When I went a couple of days ago, I bought some sheets that were on clearance. When I got home and looked at my receipt, I realized that I was charged full price for them instead of the clearance price that was printed on the tag. I also received a catillina coupon at the end of my transaction for Huggies wipes, which are on sale this week! So I went back today and they gave me a gift card for the price difference in the sheets and I used it to get a few more clearance items and some Huggies wipes.

Total before savings $18.34
Total spent $9.55 ($8.05 with the gift card and only $1.50 out of pocket!)
Total savings $8.79

Here's what I got:
-2 boxes Gerber Organic brown rice cereal
-1 (6pk.) Hefty Zoopals plastic bowls
-2 (64 ct.) Huggies wipes
-1 (216 ct.) Huggies wipes

My Tennessee boy

My mom gave me these really cute TN Vols slipper/house shoes for Connor, but he is going to grow out of them before it gets cool enough for him to wear them so I put them on him the other day and took some pics, just so I could say he got to wear them. He didn't mind having them on, but he did walk a little funny!
